Up until this week not much was known about J.C. Chandor’s new project ALL IS LOST, except for that fact that Robert Redford had signed to the lead role. However, after a new still was spotted at the Las Vegas CinemaCon, whispers surrounding the film are spreading like wildfire.
Check out the still below – but that’s not everything that’s been discovered. After it was revealed the film would be ‘a solo performance of one man lost at sea and his battle against the elements to stay alive’, sources have found out that Redford will be silent throughout the feature. Some say that this is a brave choice on Chandor’s part, as ALL IS LOST follows his Best Original Screenplay-nominated debut MARGIN CALL. We’ll have to wait just a little longer to judge whether Chandor made the right move.
ALL IS LOST is set for a US release from 25th October 2013. No word as of yet about a UK release date.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
