Well, look who’s late to the party once again…I kid, I kid! This is Gipsy Danger, the American Jaeger that will be protecting us from gigantic monsters in Guillermo Del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM. Del Toro returns after a 5 year directorial absence, as he focused on producing the films of others and tried to get THE HOBBIT off the ground. It certainly looks as though he is coming back with a big ol’ bang.
PACIFIC RIM is bound to be one of the best and biggest summer blockbusters of the year and it’s great to see an original idea getting a big budget and effects. Please visit Gipsy Danger’s fellow robots Striker Eureka, Coyote Tango, Crimson Typhoon, and Cherno Alpha. Still no sign of the British Jaeger. He’s probably off drinking tea somewhere.
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day.
