Amblin has revealed that Steven Spielberg’s next film, the semi-autobiographical drama The Fablemans, is set for a release on screens late next year, specifically November 23rd 2022, just before the Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S.
The Fablemans will be loosely based on Spielberg’s childhood and will star Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano, and Gabriel LaBelle. The film sees Spielberg reteam with Tony Kushner, who penned the screenplay for this weekend’s big release, West Side Story. Spielberg will co-write The Fablemans with Kushner.
No news on when the film will reach the UK, but this looks like it could be a huge awards contender, so expect it to land shortly after the American debut.
West Side Story opens this Friday.
