Road to FrightFest: Interview with Graham Skipper and Lisa Wilcox for ‘Mystery Spot’

The film gets its world premiere at Arrow Video FrightFest on Saturday 28th August 2021.

Arrow Video FrightFest is just around the corner. The five day festival that celebrates the dark heart of cinema will once more take over Cineworld Leicester Square from 26th – 30th August. Last year both the summer and Halloween events were only able to happen virtually, so it’s extra special for attendees that they can once more experience all the horrors together. In the countdown to the festival we are running a series of interviews with the cast and crew behind some of this year’s film selection.

Since his appearance in Jackson Stewart’s Beyond the Gates at the 2016 FrightFest, Graham Skipper has become a firm friend of the festival. The writer, actor, director (and karaoke superstar) almost always has at least one project at FrightFest and his offering this year is Mystery Spot. The film, written and directed by Mel House, sees Skipper play in a more dramatic arena than attendees will have seen from him before. He is joined in the film by Lisa Wilcox (A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master) who plays the role of Rachel.

Mystery Spot will close out Discovery Screen One on Monday 30th August and will appeal to fans of existential mysteries. The plot, best kept hidden prior to viewing, focuses on the titular mystery spot and the hold it has on the residents of a nearby hotel. In advance of the World Premiere I sat down with Graham and Lisa to discuss Mystery Spot in more detail.

Mystery Spot will receive its world premiere at Arrow Video FrightFest on Saturday 28th August 2021. Tickets for the screening can be purchased on the FrightFest website.
