See the Blade Runner 2049 photos below, including a new look at Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the sequel.

Entertainment Weekly have done it again – the magazine has managed to bag an exclusive looks at a previously unseen set of images from Blade Runner 2049.

The surprise comes just days following the release of the very first teaser trailer for the film, which opens next year.

Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford lead the cast of the film, which will release in cinemas in the UK courtesy of Sony Pictures on October 6th, 2017.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks.

It has also been confirmed that the film will officially target an ‘R’ rating, very much like the original movie. Director Denis Villeneuve himself confirmed the news to trade paper Screen Daily:

“My producers are finding it fun to remind me that it will be one of the most expensive R-rated independent feature films ever made.”

As Screen points out, this will probably lead to the film being rated a ’15’ by the British Board Of Film Classification in the UK.

Check out the new Blade Runner 2049 photos below. We’ll bring you more news on this exciting project as we hurtle towards the big release date next year. For now, we’re just going to have to settle for these very short bursts of early promo activity.
