Christopher Nolan is set to release his next film, Dunkirk, in selected cinemas a few days early. The previews will be limited to screens which project in the old-school 35mm and 70mm formats and not digitally.
Indie Revolver report the rumours that Nolan will debut the WWII film in cinemas two days early on July 19th, 2017. He is currently deep in post production on the epic motion picture, which was shot entirely on film.
“I am not committed to film out of nostalgia,” Nolan previously explained to CinemaCon back in 2014. “I am in favor of any kind of technical innovation but it needs to exceed what has gone before, and so far nothing has exceeded anything that’s come before.”
