After truly nailing it with The Jungle Book earlier this year, Jon Favreau has revealed his next project with the Mouse House – a live-action redo of The Lion King. Favreau teased the announcement on his Twitter page earlier today.
Excited for my next project ????????

There aren’t too many details about the planned project at this early stage, but we’re guessing that a Jungle Book 2, which was rumoured a little while ago, is now on the back-burner.
The Lion King live-action movie joins a long list of similar projects that will be released by Disney, including Beauty And The Beast, the next title on that list which will be released next year.
We’ll bring you more on The Lion King as it comes in.
