Swiss Army Man trailer: Daniel Radcliffe’s farting corpse movie gets a trailer.
The Swiss Army Man trailer has just landed. The film is the one that was being referred to as the Daniel Radcliffe farting corpse movie that went down a storm at the Sundance Film Festival back in January, and we cannot wait to see it.
Th Swiss Army Man trailer landed online earlier today, and you can get your first look at it in the player below. Paul Dano and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (who delighted in last month’s brilliant 10 Cloverfield Lane) also star in the movie, which will land in cinemas later this year. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Hank (Paul Dano), a hopeless man stranded in the wild, discovers a mysterious dead body (Daniel Radcliffe). Together the two embark on an epic journey to get home. As Hank realizes the body is the key to his survival, this once-suicidal man is forced to convince a dead body that life is worth living.”
How do you befriend a dead body? Any idea?
Sadly, we’re still to see the film, but we hope to rectify that very soon. In terms of the rest of the web, it seems that the film is getting a decent response. The Guardian commends Dano and Radcliffe’s performances saying, “the two good performances and some stylish use of music and editing, [are] a little bit moving. Profound gas, indeed.” Variety said that the film is Castaway meets Weekend At Bernies, “Paul Dano discovers all the tools he needs for survival in Daniel Radcliffe’s multi-purpose corpse in this wildly weird Sundance comedy.”
Music video directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan (also known as DANIELS) direct the film, which is set for a June, 2016 U.S. debut.
