This is a very loose rumour, and not confirmed in any way by anyone at Marvel, but it looks like Sylvester Stallone may be in the sequel to the brilliant Guardians Of The Galaxy.
According to a report which first surfaced on The New York Daily News, Stallone was seen in Atlanta just recently, the city where James Gunn and co. are shooting Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. Now, he could have been there for any number of reasons, but the site reports that he was seen clutching a script and getting into a car from his hotel, one that is usually assigned to the film’s lead, Chris Pratt. Being the internet, fans have put two and two together and now he has a part in the film, which is now shooting at Georgia’s Pinewood Studios.
While Stallone’s appearance in the film is unconfirmed, there is a huge role for someone as the father of Peter Quill (Pratt), a mysterious character teased by director James Gunn. New cast addition Kurt Russell had previously been rumored to be playing that role. More likely, however, Stallone’s role would be a cameo, says the source.
