Jon Favreau‘s The Jungle Book is just a few months away and we’ve now got the complete, and huge, triptych poster!
Today Baloo (voiced by Bill Murray), Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and Mowgli (Neel Sethi) join Shere Khan (Idris Elba), King Louie (Christopher Walken) and the serpent Kaa (Scarlett Johansson) in the upcoming all-new live-action adventure about Mowgli: a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. There’s also Lupita Nyong’o as the voice of mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the wolf pack’s alpha Akela.
Of course Disney’s original is woven deeply in the psyche – it is for me anyway – so it may take a while to get used to a vastly different version but with the voice talents of some massive actors, it’s clear there could be something good here.
Here they are in the desired order:
The aforementioned stars will be part of the live-action alongside photorealistic CGI animals and environments. I’m still up for it and it opens in April 15 in the UK.
