There are some rumours flying around the web today that a seventh X-Men movie is set to shoot in Canada in 2017. The film will follow this year’s X-Men Apocalypse which is being directed by Bryan Singer, who Le Journal De Montreal are saying will return to direct the new movie.
The site says that a production office will be set up in the city in November 2016 with a shoot planned for 2017. That potentially gives us a new movie in 2018. ‘Apocalypse’ was also shot in the city. Michel Trudel, president of Mel Studios, says. “It was a miracle that we managed to attract a movie X-Men in Montreal in 2013. To convince Fox to return for a second and now a third is simply amazing”.
Singer will next direct 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, and will then presumable return to the franchise that he helped build.
X-Men Apocalypse will be released on May 27th, 2016.
