Now that it is the first of September, we can definitely say that a new James Bond movie will be in cinemas NEXT MONTH! Yes, SPECTRE is released on October 26th, a Monday, in the UK with the US getting the film on November 6th. Daniel assumes the role of 007 for the fourth time, but could it be his last as the British super-spy?
We’ve previously heard that Craig was signed on for five Bond movies, but in a new interview with Esquire, the actor was asked if he would be open for another movie, to which he replied with the following:
“I don’t know, I really don’t know. Honestly. I’m not trying to be coy. At the moment I can’t even conceive it… at this moment, no. I have a life and I’ve got to get on with it a bit. But we’ll see.”
I’m sorry, what? The next film would be the 25th official film in the series which started over five decades ago with Dr. No. It’s hard to imagine that Craig would let a film with such an anniversary go. It seems like the perfect way to bow out to me.
In the modern age it’s difficult to imagine a Bond movie with anyone other than Craig in the lead. The 24th Bond movie sees Craig re-team with his Skyfall director Sam Mendes for a film which sees Bond go up against a new threat known as SPECTRE.
