So it looks like the forthcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has now got its Karai.
Brittany Ishibashi will be playing the warrior with mixed loyalties in David Green’s sequel to the 2014 hit. Karai, who is sometimes shown as Shredder’s daughter, and sometimes as a high ranking but unrelated member of the Foot Clan, had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it part in the first instalment (played by Minae Noji).
But turtle fans will no doubt be breathing a collective sigh of relief at the character’s expanded role. Ishibashi, who has previously starred in Revenge of the Bridesmaids and Eagle Eye, will be joining Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Tyler Perry and Brian Tee.
Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
