Are you excited? We’re most definitely excited! Check out the brand new poster for the upcoming movie adaptation of our favourite childhood programme JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS.
Directed by STEP UP’s Jon M. Chu, JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS tells the story of a small town girl named Jerrica Benton (Nashville‘s Aubrey Peeples) who catapults from an underground video sensation to global superstar named Jem. Alongside her three sisters, she goes on a journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden.
The film has kept to its roots and placed relatively unknown actresses to star as the band. Alongside Peeples, the film will star Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko and Aurora Perrineau. Rounding up the cast, and giving the film a big star edge, will be 80s film legend Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis as the film’s antagonist Erica Raymond.
JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS will be released in UK cinemas 21st December 2015. The trailer should be released in the next couple of days, so keep it THN as we bring you all the Jem news!
TV and Theatre Nerd who will always try and give you a good opinion, unless it is something to do with Bloc Party, then it will be completely biased. Favourite films include: HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH, ALMOST FAMOUS AND MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO.
