Jared Leto has taken on the rather uneviable task of succeeding Heath Ledger in the role of The Joker in writer/ director David Ayer’s SUICIDE SQUAD movie next year. The film, which is about to start shooting, will be released around the world on the 6th August, 2016.
We haven’t seen anything of Leto in his new role, and all we did know was that the actor had had a pretty major haircut for the part. Today we get a look, or rather half a look at the star in a shot that reminds us very much of The Killing Joke comic book cover from 1988.
Ayer tweeted the following image earlier today.
Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis, Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, Adam Beach and Jim Parrack will also star in the film.
