Right Here, Right Now: Patrick Stewart In Trailer For Comedy Series ‘Blunt Talk’

Back in the spring of last year, we heard that Patrick Stewart was teaming up with Seth MacFarlane for cable news comedy TV series Blunt Talk but we didn’t know it would look this good!

Borrowing from MacFarlane’s specific style, with hints of Extras and Gervais-esque madness, Stewart plays Walter Blunt, a British newscaster who moves to Los Angeles with his alcoholic manservant, who I think is played by the brilliantly versatile Adrian Scarborough, plus he’s got a bit of baggage with several failed marriages and he’s off to host a sanctimonious talk show.

This looks brilliant, Stewart does love his bonkers comedy and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in his first full-time show since Star Trek: TNG. Blunt Talk is written by HBO’s Bored To Death creator Jonathan Ames, with executive production by MacFarlane and it’s back by US cable network Starz.
