If you are a UK fan of Supernatural you will have found the last few months a struggle. The show, which is in its tenth series in the US, has yet to screen season nine on our shores. The reason for this is Sky Living chose to drop the show back in summer. The news angered many, though the channel never seemed to treat the show with much respect.
After the news loyal fans who didn’t want to risk sourcing the show online had to settle with watching the escapades of monster-hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester on the home entertainment box set. This box-set never materialised however, leaving many fans feeling well and truly shunned. All that changed last night though with the below announcement made on Twitter:
Yep it’s true! #SupernaturalUK on @E4Tweets in January. BOOM!
— E4 (@E4Tweets) December 7, 2014
That’s right, in the very final hour E4 have swooped in and saved the day, confirming that season nine will finally get shown in the UK come January. A more definite date has yet to be revealed, but the news will certainly come as a welcome early Christmas present for many.
