Ryan Reynolds (THE CAPTIVE) is finalising a deal with Fox-Marvel to reprise his role as Wade Wilson a.k.a Deadpool in the upcoming X-Men spinoff DEADPOOL.
Announcing the news in a teaser via his twitter account, the news coincides with the X-Men franchise timeline that recently slated DEADPOOL for release on 12 February 2016.

The ‘Merc with a Mouth’ is a disfigured and mentally unstable anti-hero who underwent military experiments in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE in an attempt to replicate Wolverine’s mutant healing factor. Known for being acerbically talkative with the fourth wall, DEADPOOL will hopefully showcase Reynold’s comedic timing.
The film’s plot is still shrouded in mystery, but writer and creator Rob Liefeld has confirmed that Peter Milligan’s mutant superheroes X-Statix will not be in the DEADPOOL mix.
Tim Miller is directing the Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (ZOMBIELAND, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION) screenplay with Lauren Shuler Donner (XMEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST) and Simon Kinberg (CHAPPIE) producing.
Production begins in March 2015.
