We’ve received confirmation from Lionsgate overnight that they have finally set a release date for the sequel to the massive hit movie NOW YOU SEE ME. The film, which will see the return of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman, will hit Stateside cinemas on the 10th June, 2016. John M. Chu, who directed that awful Justin Bieber movie and G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, will take over helming duties from Louis Letterier, who brought the first film to cinemas.
From the same press release, Lionsgate has also set a date for DIRTY GRANDPA, a new movie starring Zac Efron opposite Robert De Niro, for a release on December 25th of 2015. The film revolves around an uptight guy who is tricked into driving his foul-mouthed grandfather, a former Army general, to Florida for spring break, just a few days before his wedding. Dan Mazer, who has worked with Sacha Baron Cohen on various Ali G and Borat projects over the years, directs.
