Watch: New Scene From Extended Cut Of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’

The first details of the extended cut of THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG have been released, including the release of an exciting new scene.

The Director’s cut of J.R.R. Tolkien’s tale will include a whole 25 minutes extra of unseen footage, set to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD later on this year in time for the last installment. This is double the footage the first film had, which was extended by 15 minutes.

The scene shows Thorin and company attempting to cross a dangerous stream, with Bilbo leading the way, who is seen as more skillful for the job. With 9 hours of special features alongside the extended cut, it will certainly keep fans busy before the saga comes to an end – There’s more info below the clip here:
