SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the belated sequel to 2005’s SIN CITY. Set in the fictional world of comic writer/artist Frank Miller’s Basin City, the film will once again follow a number of stories which share similar characters, locations, and sometimes cross over too. This time we’ll see Joseph Gordon Levitt get involved with the titular dame, while favourites such as Marv (Mickey Rourke), Nancy (Jessica Alba), and Dwight, this time played by Josh Brolin as it’s set before Dwight gets his “new face”. Dwight was originally played by Clive Owen.
These 5 character posters are in keeping with the same style of the original film’s posters, each displaying one of the characters in colour against a black and white background, along with quotes from the graphic novels on which the film is based. This time the film will arrive in 3D, but we have to question whether the SIN CITY sequel boat has sailed. I’m not as excited as I thought I was going to be, but hopefully my love for Mickey Rourke will plant me back in the cinema.
SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is released 22nd August in the US and 29th August in the UK. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Jessica Alba, Juno Temple, Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Chung, Jeremy Piven, Bruce Willis, and Jaime King.
