It might be argued Pierce Brosnan has had his fair share of Spy thrillers in his time, however on August 27 (US) Brosnan will be seen jumping back into the spy game when NOVEMBER MAN hits the cinemas.
Brosnan starred as the well-known and much loved spy James Bond for four films, the last one (Die Another Day) being released in 2002. Even though Brosnan isn’t taking on the role of Bond anymore, it should be pretty fun seeing Brosnan in the role of a spy once again.
The spy thriller film is based on Bill Granger’s novel There Are No Spies which was published in 1987. The film itself is focused around an ex-CIA agent who is willing to go jump back into the spy game for a personal mission. Peter Devereaux, Brosnan’s character, will find himself facing his former pupil in a mission involving high level CIA agents and the Russian president-elect.
In recent news, there have been rumours that if NOVEMBER MAN is successful this summer, the flick would possibly be turned into a film franchise using Bill Granger’s other books to construct future films.
Produced by Irish DreamTime and Das Films, written by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek, and directed by Roger Donaldson, NOVEMBER MAN will be hitting the big screens August 27th in the US with other dates TBC, I reckon it will be well worth a watch.
