The Olivier Awards 2014 is fast approaching, with the ceremony scheduled for Sunday 13th April and new hosts for the ceremony have now been announced. The event, which is to be held at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, will see Gemma Arterton (HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, SONG FOR MARION) and Stephen Mangan (GREEN WING, RUSH) take on the roles of hosts, with the voiceover provided by the incomparable Olivier Award winning Julie Walters.
Arterton, known for her many film roles, will soon be seen in the new musical Made in Dagenham while Mangan is appearing in the Olivier Award nominated comedy Jeeves & Wooster In Perfect Nonsense.
It has also been announced that this year’s set has been designed by Es Devlin, the award-winning stage designer who designed the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and provided the set design for the new musical I Can’t Sing!. Devlin is also nominated this year for her work on Chimerica.
