Stallone and Schwarzenegger have been trying very hard, and succeeding in many respects, to reignite their flames of action goodness. Schwarzenegger’s latest, SABOTAGE, looks to be the best of the bunch so far though, with this exceptionally bloody trailer. From TRAINING DAY writer and END OF WATCH director David Ayers, comes the story of a DEA agent and his team looking to set free his wife and kid who have been taken hostage by a drug cartel.
ALthough this Red-band trailer really ups the ante in terms of graphic gun shots, it also brings home the emotional drive behind the film. This seems like the first time since Schwarzenegger’s return that he isn’t parodying his past self and instead comes off as a seasoned veteran in the cops and robbers game. No cheesy one liners and very little winking and nudging, could this be the true return to form?
SABOTAGE is released 28th March in the US and 7th May in the UK. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Olivia Williams, Terence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Josh Holloway, and Mireille Enos.
