British found footage film THE BORDERLANDS has received a lot of great praise since being screened at Frightfest 2013. It’s due a UK release on 7th April on DVD, and has US distribution sorted via Grindstone, although a release date is yet to be confirmed. This latest trailer showcases some of the horror and the creepy tone of the film, while also interjecting a number of quotes of various publications heaping praise on the film.
I’m one of the defenders of found footage, even though I’ve been proven wrong many times before. Found footage is still able to offer the shocks and scares, and hopefully some of the praise is apt for THE BORDERLANDS. The film sees Vatican investigators journey to the West Country to tackle some paranormal goings on in a local church. Elliot Goldner writes and directs this, his feature debut.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
