It was only a matter of time before Steven Soderbergh got his cinematic weight behind a TV series, and The Knick will be that series. Debuting sometime this year (we haven’t got a specific date as yet), The Knick revolves around a surgeon (Clive Owen) at New York’s Knickerbocker Hospital at the turn of the 20th Century. Cliff Martinez (DRIVE) will score the show, and Soderbergh will direct the pilot.
