Fans have waited almost a decade for the highly anticipated sequel to SIN CITY, currently titled SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. After numerous delays Robert Rodriguez’s follow-up to the acclaimed 2005 film will finally hit theatres 22nd August this year. Now it has been revealed that his co-writer and co-director Frank Miller is already planning a third installment in the series.
Miller is not only Rodriguez’s collaborator on both SIN CITY films but the famous author also wrote the graphic novels in which they are based on. In a new interview Rodriguez reveals that SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is currently in post-production and that although the films editing is complete, its special effects are still being worked on. You can read the interview below where the director also briefly mentions that Miller is currently working on a third film.
‘Yeah—the second Sin City– I was just here with Frank Miller last night and we were watching it last night, we finished the cut, effects are being done, it will come out in August’.
He continued, “He [Miller] watched Part 2—he watched it last night with me and then at the end he said, he didn’t have any comments, he was very happy with it. And he said, now about part three…. Started telling me how he’s going to do part three. So he’s already there on part three’.
