Director Neil Burger may not be returning for the follow-up to his futuristic thriller DIVERGENT (it was recently revealed that he will be replaced by Robert Schwentke) but us not forgot his opening adventure, based on the novel series by Veronica Roth, is just around the corner! Summit Entertainment are hoping for another TWILIGHT-sized phenomenon to maximise their coffers, while we non-fans are just hoping this new franchise is more bearable than the insipid cinematic adventures of pastry-faced vamp Edward and his emotionless handbag, Bella.
Anyhow, back to DIVERGENT! Check out this latest minute-long television spot from the film starring Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Theo James, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Ansel Elgort, Christian Madsen, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb and Amy Newbold. It opens in cinemas 21st March 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
