Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first clip from the VERONICA MARS movie, as well as a cover featuring star Kristen Bell. The show, which ended back in 2007, was resurrected via a Kickstarter funded project that saw fans willingly put up their own money to see the titular private detective return. The film will see Veronica return to her hometown for a high school reunion that inevitably leads her onto a new case.
The clip from EW shows Veronica bickering with her father as they argue over which occupation is worse, private detective or lawyer. It’s a charming enough clip, but there is a very ‘TV’ quality to it all. Hopefully the overall film won’t look out of place on the big screen.
VERONICA MARS is released on the 14th March. It stars Kristen Bell, Tina Majorino, Krysten Ritter, Chris Lowell, Ken Marino, and Percy Daggs III.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
