A brand new UK trailer and highly-effective creepy poster has been unearthed for Hammer Films’ supernatural chiller THE QUIET ONES. The film is based on the fact-based theories and subsequent test case by an English professor, along with a few trusted students, to prove his belief that the negative energy we create is the reason for the world’s mysterious paranormal activity.
Brilliant British actor Jared Harris takes the lead and manipulates a beautiful, yet troubled young women (Bates Motel beauty Olivia Cooke), to be his subject. However, it’s not long before the whole group realise her mental state could unleash hell!
THE QUIET ONES is set for UK cinemas from the 11th April and the US from the 25th April and is directed by John Pogue. It co-stars Sam Claflin, Erin Richards, Laurie Calvert and Rory Fleck-Byrne.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
