As we know, Kevin Smith, despite working on a movie named TUSK presently, has plans to bring a thirds CLERKS movie to the screen. As the original movie celebrates its 20th anniversary of its Sundance debut, to the day, news reaches THN that Rosario Dawson will return for CLERKS III.
Dawson told the folks over at Den Of Geek that: “[Kevin Smith] just confirmed that I’m in it.”
The actress played the role of Becky Scott in the film, who ended up engaged to Dante Hicks in the last movie.
CLERKS III has a release date set for November of this year, but they’ll have to get cracking as that’s obviously just ten months away or so. Smith however is notoriously efficent shooting his movies, often editing scenes together during principal photography. We’ll keep you posted of further developments.
