The shocking death of Paul Walker assured the latest entry in the FAST & FURIOUS franchise was going to be delayed as Universal Pictures looked at their options on moving forward. It was recently announced director James Wan was never going to be able to meet the July 2014 release and the date for FAST & FURIOUS 7 was postponed as alternatives were sought.
Well, thanks to Vin Diesel, we now have a confirmed date for the sequel along with a new image (above) of the actor alongside his late longtime friend and co-star Walker in the final scene they ever shot together. FAST & FURIOUS 7 will drive into cinemas almost a year later on 10th April 2015, with Diesel also commenting:
“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…Fast and Furious 7 will be released… April 10th 2015! P.s. He’d want you to know first…”

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
