Hoping to capitalise on the now popular horror dumping month of January and those tired of the sugar-coated festivities, 20th Century Fox’s found-footage fright flick DEVIL’S DUE could be the next big thing in the genre. Arriving early next year, the ROSEMARY’S BABY-inspired shocker directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Lindsay Devlin and Zoe Green, centres on a couple looking forward to the birth of their first child, who unfortunately, may well be the new antichrist!
After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behaviour in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin.
