IFC Midnight have scared-up the highly effective first trailer for the upcoming ghostly suspense shocker HAUNT. The independent film is directed by Mac Carter, from a screenplay by Andrew Barrer, and tells the terrifying story of a family who discover their new home holds a dark past. When becoming emotionally involved with his beautiful new neighbour, Ethan (Harrison Gilbertson) and the girl begin to explore their sexual awakening only to unwittingly invoke an alternative dimension of the house.
HAUNT is set for US cinemas from the 7th March 2014 and co-stars Danielle Chuchran, Liana Liberato, Jan Broberg and two-time Oscar-nominee Jacki Weaver. No details on a UK date just yet.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
