To be fair, this is hardy a brand new design having previously showcased similar teaser artwork earlier in the year, but this is technically the first official poster for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. The film is a prequel to the duo’s visually striking 2003 cult adaptation of Miller’s own pulp graphic novel. The main addition this time around is the cast list, which confirms returnees Jessica Alba, Powers Boothe, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis (if he can be arsed).
The film also features newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lady Gaga, Dennis Haysbert (who replaces the late Michael Clarke Duncan as badass mob boss Manute), Jeremy Piven, Stacy Keach, Ray Liotta, Jamie Chung, Christopher Meloni, Juno Temple, Julia Garner and Josh Brolin. Eva Greeen plays the smoking hot ‘Dame’ of the sub-title.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
