Fans of MASTERS OF SEX might be very happy to know that Annaleigh Ashford has been upped as a series regular when the Showtime series returns for season two.
MASTERS OF SEX tells the story Dr William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) as they undergo their pioneering research into the science of human sexuality. Ashford had an arc in the first season playing Betty Dimello, a young prostitute who was all too happy to be paid by Dr. Masters to help his research.
But the news might be bittersweet to Broadway fans. With Ashford’s permanent role in MASTERS OF SEX, it means she will be leaving her Tony-nominated role in KINKY BOOTS sometime in March.
Season two of MASTERS OF SEX will return in 2014. It currently airs on Channel 4 in the UK.
