The casting for this movie just keeps on surprising us! It was announced today that singer Rita Ora will be joining the cast of the adaptation of E.L. James’ hot mess FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.

Ora, who released her debut album Ora back in 2012, has been cast as Mia Grey, the younger adopted sister of the Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan). She joins a well varied supporting cast of Eloise Mumford, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle and Max Martini. SONS OF ANARCHY star Charlie Hunnam was originally set to play the title role, but dropped out.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, which was adapted by Kelly Marcel and is set to be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, tells the story of college student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), who falls in love with a handsome billionaire named Christian Grey (Dornan), and the pair get involved in a dominant/submissive relationship.

Production for the movie started today (December 2nd), and is set to have a February 2015 release date.
