It seems the announcement from Warner Bros. yesterday regarding their adaptation ‘PAN’ is not the only announcement they wish to throw into the spotlight this week. Director Rupert Sanders (who made his directorial debut with SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN) is reportedly attached to what sounds to be an intensely thrilling look into one of history’s most iconic conquerors; Napoleon.

The feature, which will be aptly named NAPOLEON (if you couldn’t guess) is described as taking a SCARFACE-esque look at the French conqueror – a bold description if ever I did hear one – and is being scripted by Jeremy Doner (The Killing). Sanders, who seems to have had a sudden influx of career advancing opportunity since SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is also set to direct: THE JULIET, what can only be described as Bonnie & Clyde in space, 90 CHURCH – the true story of a rookie agent in the corrupt Federal Narcotics Bureau, using ruthless tactics to fight the war on drugs in 1960 – and THE KILL LIST, an adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s novel of the same name.

NAPOLEON, as of this moment has no actors attached and no release date planned.
