Joe Lynch’s bloody film EVERLY doesn’t have a release date yet, but what we do know is that it’s finished filming and judging from this photo of Salma Hayek, it was pretty painful.
Hayek plays Everly, a woman who has to defend herself against a group of Japanese gangsters sent to kill her by her Mafia ex-boyfriend. The movie is set pretty much in one apartment but hopefully with a plot like that the film will hold our interest. Hayek told USA Today:
You’ve never seen me like this before. And I love it. Because you really see a transformation in this character that’s noticeable and shocking. I become a badass.
EVERLY has been described as PANIC ROOM meets CRANK, with a bit of KILL BILL added in. Sounds like that sort of mixture could be a bit hit and miss but we’ll just have to wait and see.
