After helming a decent enough remake of Wes Craven’s infamous LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, Greek filmmaker Dennis Iliadis’ has been rather quiet. Well, those awaiting news on Iliadis’ next project can rest easy as IFC Midnight’s forthcoming supernatural/sci-fi thriller +1 (or PLUS ONE) marks his follow up to the extreme 2009 thriller.
Rising actor Rhys Wakefield (an eerie standout in this years earlier home-invasion shocker THE PURGE) leads as one of a trio of college pals venturing to a high-school party, only to see the night taking a twisted turn and chaos reigns!
Three college friends go to the biggest party of the year, each looking for something different: love, sex, a simple human connection. When a supernatural phenomenon disrupts the party, it lights a fuse on what will become the strangest night anyone has ever seen. As the three friends struggle to find what they’re looking for, the party quickly descends into a chaos that challenges if they can stay friends or if they can even stay alive.
Check out this latest demented red-band trailer and clips from the film released in limited US cinemas from Friday 20th September. No word yet on the UK date.
+1 (PLUS ONE) released in the US on the 20th September and co-stars Ashley Hinshaw, Natalie Hall, Logan Miller, Rhoda Griffis and April Billingsley.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
