Arnold Schwarzenegger To Reunite With James Cameron For ‘Avatar 2’?

Arnold Schwarzenegger

In possibly the best film news I have heard in a long time, Latino Review have the exclusive scoop that none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger will be playing the villain in James Cameron’s AVATAR 2.

Of course you will all know what this means, that Schwarzenegger will be reuniting with the director that made him an international star back in 1984 with THE TERMINATOR. Although the two haven’t worked together since 1994 with TRUE LIES, it will no doubt come as great news to film fans everywhere to know that the dynamic duo who brought us THE TERMINATOR and TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY will be back together.

Schwarzenegger’s career hasn’t quite been the comeback tour many had hoped in his post-political return to acting. Whilst his appearances in THE EXPENDABLES and THE EXPENDABLES 2 have been entertaining his solo outing THE LAST STAND was met with incredibly lukewarm response. With another TERMINATOR film on the way and now AVATAR 2 it looks like the Austrian Oak will finally be heading back to the big time, and that’s not including his upcoming films’ ESCAPE PLAN, THE EXPENDABLES 3, THE LEGEND OF CONAN and TRIPLETS.

What kind of character Schwarzenegger will play in the sequel is unknown at this point but Latino Review do know he will definitely be the villain. It seems fitting that in his reunion with TERMINATOR director James Cameron, Schwarzenegger should play an antagonist once again, given that the role that made him a star is now one of the most famous film baddies of all time.

AVATAR 2 is scheduled to hit theatres December 2016 with two additional sequels lined up for the following two Christmas’s which will once again star Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. We will be sure to update you with any additional developments that come our way.
