Few can swing an axe and look as foxy as Aussie stunner Sharni Vinson. She’s just one of the many reasons you must catch the forthcoming twisted fright flick, YOU’RE NEXT. Adam Wingard’s intense and ingenious home-invasion horror is both superbly funny and downright terrifying. It’s ultimately (and easily) the finest genre effort of the year and our very own Paul Heath has an interview with Vinson due in the coming days. When a gang of masked, axe-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped… until an unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all.
We’ve unearthed a brand new remixed trailer for the film featuring the tune you’ll never tire of hearing, as well as gathering the unsettling collection of posters scattered around the web spelling out the title and readying the menacing masked Animals for attack. Go see it. It’s a blast!
YOU’RE NEXT co-stars AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Ti West, Barbara Crampton, Nicholas Tucci, Larry Fessenden, Wendy Glenn and Rob Moran. It’s unleashed in US cinemas 26th August and the UK 28th August. Fans attending Film4 FrightFest at London’s Leicester Square will be able to attend an early opening night screening on the 22nd August.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
