Internet, you can breathe a sigh as relief, as this new image from DIVERGENT finally gives us a look at Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley as Tris and Caleb. The image shows Woodley’s character deciding to join the faction named Dauntless. Woodley also spoke about her decision to take on DIVERGENT:
“It was a huge decision. At first, I was not planning to take this opportunity, because it felt overwhelming. If there is success and if it happens in a way that was anything similar to THE HUNGER GAMES or TWILIGHT, that’s extremely intimidating. Especially for a very homely nature chic like me.”
Based on the novel by Veronica Roth, DIVERGENT tells the story of a teenage girl seeking to break free from her homogeneous society that divides people based on human traits. Woodley and Elgort star alongside Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ashley Judd, Maggie Q and Zoe Kravitz.
This new image might be a little bit closer to some people’s hearts, as Elgort and Woodley will also appearing as Hazel and Augustus in the highly anticipated adaptation of John Green’s THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, which starts production at the end of the month.
DIVERGENT is released March 2014.
