First Still From Disney’s ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ Starring Tom Hanks & Emma Thompson

Walt Disney Pictures have released the first official still from their anticipated biopic, SAVING MR. BANKS. The film stars Tom Hanks as the iconic Walt Disney and will show the trials and tribulations behind the scenes in persuading grudging author P. L. Travers (played by fellow Oscar-winner Emma Thompson), to allow his studio to make the magical musical MARY POPPINS, based on the novel Travers’ initially never intended to allow through the Hollywood system.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
