The current showrunner and executive producer of hit CW superhero series ARROW, Greg Berlanti, has been confirmed as the director Columbia Pictures’ epic sci-fi actioner, EPSILON. Berlanti’s previously worked on screenplays for GREEN LANTERN and WRATH OF THE TITANS (oh dear!) and directed family comedy LIFE AS WE KNOW IT with Katherine Heigel and Josh Duhamel. He’s also been linked to the helm of Warner Bros. long in-development comic-book adventure THE FLASH, who’ll also form part of JUSTICE LEAGUE.
EPSILON has a script by ZOMBIELAND’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and is described as follows:
Epsilon is set after a failed robot rebellion on an Earth almost entirely devoid of electronic devices. The remaining robots seek refuge on a space station and begin to raise their own human lab rats, which they train to act as their agents. The main character s a man who discovers he is more human than he thought.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
