We’ve yet another bunch of new stills, promo images and Smallville concept art from the much-anticipated adaptation of DC Comics icon MAN OF STEEL. The film will hopefully kickstart a brand new franchise featuring the Kryptonian super being Kal-El, who, while living a peaceful existence in small town Americana as Clark Kent, begins to notice he’s unlike the other children at high-school. Learning his secret past as not of this Earth, Clark ‘s calling as the saviour of mankind will be put to the test by the arrival of home planet headcase General Zod.
Warner Bros. Superman reboot is directed by Zack Snyder, from a script written by David S. Goyer. It stars Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, McKenzie Foy, Richard Schiff and hits cinemas 14th June.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
