Less than a month to go before Warner Bros. unleashes their much-anticipated modern Superman reboot, MAN OF STEEL, and there can’t be a film fan out there, comic-book fanatic or not, that isn’t excited for Zack Snyder’s upgrade of the DC superhero icon.
We’ve a couple of stylish new banners in which the last son of Krypton, Kal-El (Henry Cavill), faces off against his surviving home planet nemesis General Zod (the ever-intense and awesome Michael Shannon).
MAN OF STEEL is produced by THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy’s Christopher Nolan. Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix, Richard Schiff and Russell Crowe also co-star. It is flies into cinemas from the 14th June.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
