Is Nolan Set For Bond 24?

Very early word in the world of international espionage is that the fan favourite Christopher Nolan is in negotiations to follow Sam Mendes’ stunning SKYFALL in helming the 24th Bond adventure.

Reports are surfacing that the epic DARK KNIGHT and INCEPTION director is in talks with Bond chiefs Michael G .Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to tackle where the suave super spy goes next. He’s certainly been a fan choice for some time, not only as the next outing, but previous to Mendes.

Nolan’s a fine British filmmaker and has yet to put a foot wrong on his career ladder. Making a fine debut with FOLLOWING, impressing with head-twisiting thrillers MEMENTO and INSOMNIA before dropping jaws with his Batman reboot and their subsequent spectacular sequels. Not forgetting his other starry mind-bender sci-fi thriller, INCEPTION, sandwiched in-between.

Nolan is currently prepping production on his forthcoming and mysterious INTERSTELLAR, which has Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and frequent collaborator Michael Caine, already onboard and is said to revolve around the possibility of time-travel manipulation and wormholes.

It’s still early but would you like to see Nolan and Daniel Craig working together on 007? As ever, let us know!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

Him or Matthew Vaughn and I’d be happy.
