It’s obviously had major production problems behind-the-scenes, even those working on the project have admitted, but there is no doubt Marc Forster’s adaptation of Max Brooks’ zombie-filled novel WORLD WAR Z looks monstrously impressive. We’re just hoping those the hired to fix things have been able to salvage a terrifying thrill ride for us film fans as well as the producers and studio heads.
Brad Pitt leads the survival thriller as UN specialist Gerry Lane, a man forced to leave his family to travel the globe and track the origin of a pandemic that has left most of the planets population hungry for human flesh as scientists search for a cure. I’ve yet to actually read Brooks’ acclaimed book but I have hope, following the success of hit series THE WALKING DEAD, legions will be leaving multiplexes gasping for breath for all the right reasons.
WORLD WAR Z co-stars David Morse, Mireille Enos, Eric West, Matthew Fox, James Badge Dale, David Andrews, Elyes Gabel and is unleashed in cinemas from the 21st June. Take a look at this vicious new viral video.
