Cannes is only days away, but it looks like some deals have started to be announced already. The big news has been that Jennifer Garner and Michael Caine will be joining Annette Bening, Bobby Cannavale and Al Pacino for IMAGINE. The film tells the story of a rocker who decides to change his life after discovering a letter that was written to him by John Lennon, prompting him to try and track down his biological son. It is thought that Caine will be playing the manager of Al Pacino’s character and Garner will play his daughter in law.
IMAGINE will see Dan Fogelman taking on double duty as screenwriter and director, and will be his directorial debut. Fogelman is known for writing films such as TANGLED and CRAZY STUPID LOVE. The team pushing the film will meet international buyers at Cannes this week, so this early announcement can only draw more attention.
